Scanning
These days it’s common practice to transfer analog photos to digital data and then back to analog form. We scan originals ranging in size from 12 x 8 mm (microfiche) to slides and film negatives of different standard sizes as well as glass negatives, drawings, photographs and large-format images. We also scan authorial archives and can store data in large database systems. We also offer very cost effective digital sets.
Scanning from film
Do you prefer shooting on film, but want to take advantage of modern technology when it comes to editing your photos? Do you have old home negs or slides that you’d like to convert to digital form? We scan both negative films and slides on a Frontier 350 (D-max 2.9, cine-film roll to 6x9) slit scanner with an output format of 25x38 cm at 300 dpi. We also offer Imacon proscans with a color depth of up to 3x16-bit (D-max 4.1, cine-film and flat film in 4x5, diagnosis and negative). The richer 16-bit color file facilitates adjustments and enables full use of LightJet imaging capabilities. We also clean and retouch all scans.
We provide full-format scans without mounting, or with the mounting listed in our current price list. Primary scan treatment includes: retouching of dirt and scratches, color adjustement to the original scan and cropping. Additional treatments are charged as DTP work according to the current price list. We scan in media-neutral RGB color.
